American Manchester Terrier Club
Welcome to the home of the American Manchester Terrier Club or “AMTC”. We are the National parent club for the Manchester Terrier in the United States under the AKC. The Manchester Terrier is one Breed with Two varieties “Toy” and “Standard”.The AMTC is dedicated to promoting and protecting this breed through its objectives of encouraging responsible breeding and ownership of Manchester’s. The AMTC will do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsman like competition at shows and trials.
We encourage everyone to do research no matter what breed your interested in. It is our hope that the information found on this site will help you make an informed decision. Whether you are looking for a new show prospect, a companion, performance dog, or just wanting to further your education and understanding of the Manchester Terrier, the AMTC website has the resource’s and information to help aide in your quest. AMTC National Specialty 2018 will be held on Saturday September 1st 2018 at the beautiful Lexington KY Horse Park as part of the Bluegrass Classic dog show. Judge will be Mr. Ed Bivin and sweeps judge to be determined. The show weekend will be five days starting on August 30th through September the 3rd. Other events that will be held along with Conformation will be obedience, rally, barn hunt, dock diving and lure coursing. Schedule of events as follows but is subject to change. The Banquet AKA “Ho down before the Show Down ” will be Friday August 31st. It will be held at the KY Horse Park Campground at the pavilion. Catering by Red State Barbecue. AGM will be on Saturday September 1st, Time TBA. Judges Education will be Friday August 31st Time and place TBA. MTOY will be Sunday September 2nd. Time and place TBA. Host Hotel will be the Fairfield INN ad Suites by Marriott 2100 Hackney Place Lexington KY 40511. Please call 859-977-5870 for reservations. Ask for American Manchester Terrier Club Room block.
